Every Alternator goes through the following steps
to ensure you the highest quality alternator for your car.

First every alternator is disassembled,
and every part of the alternator is cleaned and checked individually.
All brushes are replaced with new ones,
and bearings are refurbished and checked by machine.
Alternator bearings not as good as new are then replaced with new.

Every Alternator's Rectifiers are checked for forward current flow and reverse leakage.
Every Alternator's stator and rotor are protected with an insulating varnish.
Every Alternator's pulley are powder coated, a more durable finish than paint.
Every Alternator's regulator is checked to match the function of the original unit.

All alternators are then checked on a Dixie 98R or 99R.
These machines check the remanufactured alternator
versus the specs from the alternator's original manufacturer.
Also every alternator is tested for maximum output power,
maximum output power under full load,
voltage regulator setpoint,
voltage regulator set point (hot),
turn on speed (or indicator lamp out), tachometer output at 2500 rpm,
rectifier diodes voltage drop,
leakage current tested at 12 volts,
